KNOWING JESUS

"We no longer believe just because of what you said; now we have heard for ourselves and we know that this man really is the Savior of the world." (John 4:42)

This is what the townspeople of Sychar said to the Samaritan woman who met Jesus at the well. John says that many of these townspeople believed in Jesus because of the woman's testimony. They already believed just hearing her story, yet when they actually met Jesus face to face there was somehow another level of knowing.

Likewise, there are many Kuy people here in Cambodia in places like Snaur, O'Krouch, Jokrun, Srai Thnong, Prame and Svay Damnak who have believed because of the testimony of missionaries or fellow Kuy believers. This is great. But, pray that they will meet Jesus face to face and really know him for themselves on an even deeper level. Pray for God's Spirit to speak clearly to their hearts, that they might connect with the Bible stories they are hearing on a very personal level. Ask the Lord to meet them in visions and dreams and in everyday circumstances.Ask that this "knowing" would lead to deeper worship and a driving passion to make Jesus known!
