A person, sovereignly
prepared by God to welcome the good news; a person
of receptivity to the gospel
message,
with a well-known reputation,
whether good or bad
and able to open the door to
witness to others.
In Luke 10 we find our Lord giving instructions to
the 72 disciples as he sent them out to witness, "When
you enter a house, first say, 'Peace to this house.' If
a man of peace is there, your peace will rest on him; if
not, it will return to you." As we move into areas
previously unreached by the gospel we too are looking
for persons of peace in each village, a man or woman who
is open to the gospel. They will likely be one of the
first to believe in their village. This person will be
known by others, either as a wise leader or perhaps
someone whose changed life is so dramatic as to invite
the curiosity of those who know him or her. This person
will open the way for the gospel to spread to others in
the village and even the broader area. Please join us in
prayer
for God to prepare persons of peace in each Kuy
village,
that we and others working with the Kuy would quickly
recognize these people,
for Chhon in the village of Rumchek, to mature in his
understanding of Jesus and to be used of God to
open doors for the gospel there.
