Moving on in
In the past we have mentioned a
missionary couple with New Tribes Mission who are also working with the Kuy
people, Ralph and Kim Lewis. They are currently living in the provincial
capital of Preah Vihear province. They have been working on moving into a Kuy
village for the better part of a year now. There have been delays;
governmental, logistical, seasonal, etc. However, they are on the verge of
having their house completed. They will be living in Boh Thom, a village a few
kilometers from the provincial capital. Now that the rains have stopped it
will be easier for them to get out there. They must cross a river with no
bridge, possible in a 4-wheel drive vehicle in the dry season. They will move
out to the village with their family (five children) to begin building
relationships, learning Kuy language and presenting the gospel to the
villagers. Please pray for them at this crucial time:
-
that they will be able to move into their completed house
in the next two to three weeks,
-
for protection from illness as they adapt to life there
(especially for the children),
-
that they will quickly feel "at home" and build quality
relationships with their landlord and the neighbors before their anticipated
home leave next year
