MORE LINGUISTIC SURVEY
SIL workers based in Thailand have done a couple of
surveys of the Kuy language in Cambodia, a preliminary one last year and a
follow-up looking at the two main dialects earlier this year. Linda and
Pailin are planning to return to Cambodia in December for a couple of weeks to
continue this survey work. Linda has located a Gospel Recordings tape in one of
the Cambodian dialects. She hopes to test it with some Kuy people on this trip.
Please pray for their work:
- Logistics. Since we will not be there,
pray that others will be able to arrange lodging, transportation and
translation for them.
- Safety in travel and good
health.
- Fruitful time of survey work that will
result in information useful to us and others who work with the Kuy
people in Cambodia.
