Khmer
Believers
Reaching The Kuy
Pastor Piseth got a new vision. While attending a Church planting
training in Phnom Penh, she was challenged to bring the gospel to
minority groups in her own country. Returning to her place of ministry
in Kampong Thom province, she sought a way to do just this. She knew
there were minority villages around, but not exactly where. So, she
hired a motorbike taxi driver to take her out to one of the villages
of the minority peoples. She ended up that day in Skun, a Kuy village.
Today she has a thriving house church in the village. There have been
over 100 baptisms and about 30 believers gather to worship on any given
Sunday.
We are excited to see Khmer churches beginning to think about reaching
out to their Kuy neighbors. Pray with us that this will happen more and
more.
Pray also for missionary, David Ooi and some young Khmer Crossroads
church members will once again be heading up to the Kuy villages of
Kampong Thom next week. Again they will offer tutoring in Khmer and
English for young people in the the villages and share Bible stories.
Pray for openness to the gospel and many opportunities to share the
Bible stories.
