New Territory
Our friends from Crossroads recently took a trip to find a few new Kuy
villages out in the forest. They went with Mr. Hun, a village leader
and new believer form the village of Snaur, where they have been
meeting to tell the story of Jesus. They traveled over arduous roads by
motorbike to several small new villages. While Snaur is relatively new
itself, maybe ten years old, these villages are more like two or three
years old. They are not on the government books yet. These people are
basically homesteading in forest area where the large trees have all
been cut. There is not so much land for farming left near their old
villages. It is a difficult life.
At the end of this month, 28
April - 1 May, a group of young men from Crossroads Church and their
pastor will go back out to this area. They will go as we read about
Jesus sending the 72 out in Luke 10, looking for persons of peace with
whom they can share the good news of God's kingdom. Please pray for them
- for safety on the "road" and good health
- that God would indeed lead them to persons of peace who will welcome them into their homes and listen to the good news
- for wisdom in what they say and do
- for new house churches to start in each of the villages they visit.
