A Vast Harvest

 

    When he saw the crowds, he was deeply moved with compassion for them,

because they were troubled and helpless, like sheep without a shepherd.

Then he said to his disciples, "The harvest is vast, but the workers are few.

So ask the Lord of the harvest to send out workers into his harvest."

Matthew 9:36-8 (ISV)

 

Jesus did not ask his disciples to pray for a harvest, but for workers for the harvest that was already there. We can be sure that if we pray according to Jesus' commands He will delight to answer. We too need to pray diligently and expectantly for workers for the harvest among the Kuy of Cambodia. Please pray specifically for Cambodian believers who would have a heart for the Kuy to go and share the Good News among them using Bible Stories.

 

Also pray for Matt and Ben, our Fijian church planting friends who are learning Khmer in preparation for going to the Kuy. Pray that they will quickly gain facility in Khmer and be ready to go to a remote Kuy area next year.
