O'Krouch
Thank you for your prayers for our month of language study in the Kuy
village of O'Krouch (pronounced O'Groat). We were healthy. The children
did well fitting
into village life, making friends and learning new things. We saw some
good progress in language learning and also learned more about village
life in general and Kuy people in particular.
It was rice planting season while we were there. Most people had
planted or were planting their nursery fields and were putting up
fences, plowing and getting ready to transplant. The girls in the photo
are pulling up young rice plants to transplant. But they were waiting
on the rain to flood the fields for transplanting.
Ask the Father for
- rain so that there will be a blessing of a
good rice crop
- hearts open to Jesus. Especially lift up Ian,
our language helper, that she would trust in Jesus.
- ways to keep our Kuy language up and continue
to learn.
